Semi-automatic pistol, Germany 1929 WALTER ppk (World War II).
It is a gun in Germany that became famous thanks to the imaginative character James Bond, who used it may part of his film. It is also Holly Hunter's weapon in her role as Detective MJ in Copycat.
His name derives from the German 'Polizei pistole Kriminal'. However, he is known by his initial cause.
The gun was introduced in 1929 in Germany for the secret police. An even shorter version appeared in 1931. It is also known to be the weapon used by Adolf Hitler to commit suicide. After the Second World War, it was the favourite of Western intelligence services. The soft and discreet comfortable size, the small recoil of the shot and the safety of its mechanism was not found during the 20th century among civil users.
